PEI LIN has transitioned to painting as a hobby and now operates an arts and crafts studio at The Plaza after working in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years. Offering unique workshops, she shares her passion for art with others.

‘The Art of Giving’ was conceptualised by The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in 2018 as an alternative fundraiser through auction and sale of donated artworks.

The collaboration between NKF and Pei Lin Limited Liability Partnership stands as a testament to the transformative power of art and the profound impact of giving. Through this initiative, artists have come together to harness their creative talents in support of a worthy cause, demonstrating how the art of giving can foster compassion, creativity, and collaboration.

By pledging 50% of sales proceeds to NKF, these artists have not only shared their artistry with the world but also extended a lifeline of support to individuals in need. As we reflect on the art of giving as a collaboration between NKF and Pei Lin LLP, we are reminded of the boundless potential of collective action to create a brighter, more compassionate world—one brushstroke, sculpture, or photograph at a time.

The property offered in this sale and listed in this catalogue will be sold by The National Kidney Foundation (“NKF”).

All Purchasers participate on the following terms and conditions (as may be amended by any posted notices or oral announcements from time to time during the sale), which govern the sale of all the property offered. By purchasing, the Purchaser agrees to be bound by these Conditions of Sale:

1. NKF does not assume any risk, liability or responsibility for the authenticity or the authorship of any property identified in this listing (that is, the identity of the creator or the period, culture, source or origin etc, as the case may be, with which the creation of any property is identified herein).

· All property is sold with all faults imperfections and errors of description and NKF does not make any representations or warranties of any kind or nature, expressed or implied with respect to the property and in no event shall NKF be responsible for the correctness of any descriptions of the property, nor deemed to have made, any representations or warranties of physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, genuineness, attribution, authenticity or provenance of the property. No statement in the sale listing or other description made at sale, in any sale invoice or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a representation or warranty.

· Prospective Purchasers should inspect the property before purchasing to determine its condition, size and whether or not it has been repaired or restored.

2. Any property may be withdrawn by NKF at any time before the actual sale.

3. The Purchaser shall be deemed to have purchased the property subject to all of the conditions set forth herein and thereupon (a) assumes the risk and responsibility thereof, (b) will sign a confirmation of purchase thereof and (c) will pay the full purchase price as NKF may require. NKF will not release the property to the Purchaser until payment of the total amount due has been made and received. If the sold property is not collected by the Purchaser within seven (7) days after full payment, it may be sent by NKF at its sole discretion to storage for the account, risk and expense of the Purchaser and such charges will then be added to the purchase price of the property. If the foregoing conditions and other applicable conditions are not complied with, in addition to any other remedies available to NKF in law and/or equity including, without limitation, the right to hold the Purchaser liable for the purchase price, NKF, at its option, may either (a) cancel the sale, retaining as liquidated damages all payments made by the Purchaser or (b) resell the property on three (3) days’ notice to the Purchaser and for the account and risk of the Purchaser, either publicly or privately, and in such event the Purchaser shall be liable for payment of any shortfall between the original sale price and the price achieved upon resale, all other charges/disbursements etc and any incidental damages.

4. Payment for purchase must be made in Singapore Dollars (SGD) by credit/debit card through the NKF eShop Platform.

5. In no circumstances will NKF rescind any purchase made or refund the amount paid.

6. If any tax on the sale of the property is applicable, this will be borne by the Purchaser.

Should a dispute arise between NKF and the Purchaser, NKF shall have the absolute right to resolve the dispute, re-offer, re-sell, or withdraw the property in question.

7. Payment for purchase made through the NKF eShop Platform does not qualify as a tax-deductible donation and will not be entitled to tax-deduction.

8. These Conditions of Sale, as well as the Purchaser’s and NKF’s representative rights and obligations hereunder, shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of Singapore. By making a purchase, whether present in person or by agent, the Purchaser shall be deemed to have consented to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore Courts.
